The Deadlies were held again this year in the Opera House. This event provides a showcase of Indigenous people excelling in the Arts, Sport, Education and other categories. Those who received awards are listed on the Vibe Website under the Deadlies. The night also includes entertainment by up and coming artists, such as the NAISDA dances, and established artists.

Reconciliations Australia has set up the Indigenous Governance Awards. Nominations are now called from Indigenous run organisations. These will be interesting to watch.
